Sources of your drinking water

The City of Burnsville provides drinking water to its residents from the following groundwater and surface water sources: • Surface water drawn from the Kraemer Quarry • 17 wells ranging from 265 to 1030 feet deep, that draw water from the Jordan, Mt. Simon, Prairie Du Chien-Jordan, and Tunnel City-Mt.Simon aquifers.

Manganese:  0.02 ppm

Chlorine:  .75 ppm

Fluoride:  0.5-0.9 ppm

Water Hardness: 25-29grains per gallon

A quality water softener will remove the problem some hard water minerals calcium and magnesium.
